This project entails the construction of a 3-star hotel on the island of Serifos.
Initially, the investor entrusted MORPHÓ with securing the integration of the investment plan into the Recovery and Resilience Fund. In early 2024, our company was commissioned to take full responsibility for the hotel’s construction.
A Detailed Implementation Study was conducted to facilitate the inclusion of the project in the Recovery and Resilience Fund.
The aim of this study was to enable the investor to accurately assess the total cost of the investment from the outset, adjust it according to available funds, and, with the support of specialized consultants, allocate resources effectively to achieve the desired outcome within the expected timeframe.
Following the completion of the Interior Design and Detailed Implementation Study, the construction costs were reassessed, nearly doubling from the original estimates.
MORPHÓ’s interior and implementation design were based on the approved building permit plans.
Before commencing the interior design phase, MORPHÓ’s design team, composed of experienced architects and designers, visited Serifos to explore the island’s history and conduct the initial research for the design concept.
The design concept is inspired by the island’s more recent history, particularly the mining operations that began in the late 1860s. These mines, primarily located in the southwestern part of the island, were centered around the sheltered bays of Koutalas and Megalo Livadi.
Serifos is rich in mineral deposits, and the southwestern region has been shaped by the formation of skarn zones.
The design team drew inspiration from the materials of iron and copper, using their oxidation processes to craft the hotel’s color palette for materials and furnishings, harmonizing with the natural hues of the island.
