‘’Imera Vista Suites’’ is in Imerovigli, Santorini, and is one of the island’s most popular tourist accommodations. All its suites offer views of the Caldera and the Volcano, providing guests with moments of relaxation while enjoying the breathtaking sunset of Santorini.
At MORPHÓ, we took on the interior and exterior design studies (Interior & Exterior Design) and the completion of Imera Vista Suites. We delivered the property to the owner as a “turnkey” project.
The interior and exterior design study begins with the creation of a logo and the invention of the brand name for this accommodation. We explored the elements of the experience that would make the property truly unique, establishing the pillars around which the corporate identity would be built. As a preliminary approach, we considered the word “IMERA,” derived from the words “Imerovigli” and “era,” resulting in the term “day,” symbolizing “the era for Imerovigli.” Through the word IMERA, key terms emerged that translated into both the interior and exterior design elements.
The first term is “light,” with the aim of creating an atmosphere enhanced by hidden lighting that would emerge from corners to highlight the space and leave a lasting impression on the guest.
The second term is “nature,” emphasizing a connection to the environment (the outdoor space), which is indirectly associated with the use of natural and local materials for optimal harmony with the location.
The concept does not merely aim to create a brand name for the accommodation; it also strengthens the design choices we will follow. The mood boards created and presented will provide an initial vision for the integration of the concept into the design, offering early suggestions on color palettes, textures, and materials, thus fostering the first interaction among designers, investors, and the project.
As we progress and finalize our design direction, 3D renderings were created to help the client better understand the spatial configuration. Simultaneously, a detailed list of recommended movable equipment will be provided to the investor, along with suggestions regarding suppliers and choices of materials and colors that formed the design proposal.
