myLithos Suites is a modern tourist accommodation located in Monolithos, on the southeastern side of enchanting Santorini, just 200 meters from the area’s iconic black sand beach. Situated 3 km from the airport and 6.2 km from Fira, it offers an ideal balance of tranquility and easy access to the island’s most cosmopolitan attractions.
Our team undertook full architectural and creative responsibility for the realization of the project. Our scope included:
- Concept development and creation of the property’s brand identity
- Preparation of the architectural study and all final design documents required for the issuance of a building permit
- Compilation and submission of the technical dossier for funding under an NSRF (ESPA) subsidized program, which successfully led to the project’s approval and financing
The architectural approach was based on an extroverted spatial composition, inspired by and respectful of the local character — and by the very element that gave the village its name: the “monolith.” The building volumes are arranged with a monolithic logic, forming a cohesive setting around a central courtyard and a communal swimming pool, which serves as a hub for gathering and relaxation.
The complex consists of elegant and spacious suites, all offering sea views thanks to a cross-ventilated and amphitheatrical layout. Ground-level units enjoy direct access to the courtyard, while upper-level suites feature private verandas with panoramic views of both the Aegean and the complex’s interior spaces.
The interior design follows a minimal yet authentic aesthetic, where natural materials such as stone and wood, in their raw forms, stand in harmonious contrast with the off-white walls — reinforcing the monolithic design philosophy.
myLithos Suites is more than just a place to stay — it is a living experience, combining architectural simplicity with genuine island hospitality. This project reflects a contemporary interpretation of Santorini’s local identity, offering guests a peaceful and inspiring environment, fully attuned to the island’s natural and cultural landscape.
